These PowerPoint presentations were created for two Oakland University theory courses. More importantly, they reveal my creative versatility with Adobe InDesign's wide-ranging features. Returning to school was a pivotal moment in my life. It allowed me to continue my education within a wider sphere of diverse worldviews cultivated by my newsroom career. To be able to apply this and other life experiences to my essay assignments was undoubtedly a reason for their high marks and praise. My Heath Ledger thesis is such an example of writing about what you know and love, with the simultaneous advantage of professional skill sets.

This project analyzed the social and environmental implications of LEGO production, a topic that remains largely unquestioned. It was an admittedly difficult education as a lifelong LEGO fan and collector to discover just how LEGO pieces are manufactured and the harm this immensely popular "world-building" toy can inflict on local ecosystems, as well as the various ways LEGO addresses this problem.
